Ultrasound Technology

As an ultrasound technician, or also known as a sonogram technician, you will become an expert at using a measurement called a transducer. This instrument produces a high-frequency sound waves that will travel through the body of a patient. These high frequency sound waves that will bounce off the targeted part of the body, or the organ, echoing the sound waves back to the transducer where they are captured and then converted into a visual image that can be seen by the naked eye. UK complete schooling in just a couple of years, and land a job straight up college earning about $40,000 per year. As your experience level grows and your your knowledge grows you will earn as much as $29 per hour, or up to $79,000 per year.

With soba uses for this kind of technology, it is obvious that the need for new technicians every year is growing so rapidly that ultrasound tech jobs will be there for years to come. What is required of a Dental Assistant?

If you are thinking about heading back to school to pursue a trade career such as a dental assistant, it is a good idea to research the job itself and learn what all is required of you. So lets start with the schooling. You can recieve a degree as a dental assistant from one of the many technical trade schools throughout the united states. Most if not all careers as a dental assistant require an associates degree from an accredited school.

Even though a degree is required to get a job as a dental assistant, personal experience will go a long way with determining where you can get a job, and how much her salary will start at. If you’re planning to pursue a career as a dental assistant, it is also important to remember that you will be around a lot of people, so it is a good idea that you work on your people skills, and learn to be creative.

As far as a dental assistant job description, basically a dental assistant will work directly under the supervision of a dentist. Then the dental assistant will do whatever is needed or asked of from the dentist. This may include preparing the necessary instruments for a procedure, then handing the dentist the proper tool at the proper time. They dentist will require you as an assistant to use proper judgment, and show that you can learn from experience on a day-to-day basis during new treatments and procedures. As a Dental assistant you may be required to attain further schooling or training as an x ray technician as well.
